For the fourth consecutive year, SJM Resorts and the Macau Artist Society are joining forces to celebrate traditional lanterns as an element of culture. This year’s display marks Macao’s designation as a Culture City of East Asia 2025: it features lanterns created by local talent as well as by artists from the other three cities appointed as Culture Cities of East Asia 2025 – Huzhou (mainland China), Anseong (South Korea), and Kamakura (Japan). The exhibition also includes artist residencies, art workshops open to the public, thematic talks, augmented-reality experiences, and a special guided tour.
