The 67th Macau Grand Prix is to go ahead from 20 to 22 November. With the racing spectacular back at the Guia Circuit, motorsport enthusiasts can look forward to plenty of high-speed thrills.
This year’s roster of races is to be different from past editions, as restrictions in place to help control the COVID-19 pandemic have limited the participation of teams from other locations. In addition, the size of racing squads will be kept to a minimum.
The organisers expect about 95 racers will take part, with the majority coming from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao.
After thorough consideration by the SAR Government and a careful COVID-19 risk assessment, the Government decided to go ahead with this year’s competition. The decision was based on the Grand Prix’s significance to the city. The racing event – broadcast annually to Mainland China, Hong Kong and elsewhere, via satellite television and online channels – is an important Macao international tourism and sports brand.
